County voting participation is cumulative early ballots cast in that county divided by that county’s total registered voters in the latest dated registration snapshot, multiplied by 100. It is a progress measure, not final election turnout. 2022 comparison uses the same numbered early-voting day. “Difference vs. 2022” is cumulative 2026 ballots minus cumulative 2022 ballots for that county; positive means 2026 is ahead. If a comparable day is unavailable, the cell is blank.

Rates are cumulative early-voting ballots divided by registered voters for the same numbered voting day. The 2022 denominator uses the official August 2, 2022 registration snapshot; 2026 uses the current dated registration snapshot. This is an early-voting pace comparison, not final election turnout.

County-level historical lookup

The official SCVotes voter-history tool supports county and precinct participation statistics by election year and type. This is the right source for total turnout comparisons across 2018 onward; it is distinct from daily early-voting reports.

Ordinal voting-day comparison

Early-voting pace by day

This view numbers observed voting dates in order, rather than comparing calendar dates. It uses the latest saved official snapshot for each voting date. Daily ballots are calculated as the change in cumulative ballots from the previous observed voting date.

As more official reports are collected, this table will build a day-by-day series. If a daily report is missing, observed-day numbering may not match the actual calendar voting day.

2022 vs. 2026 comparison

Early-voting pace: 2022 and 2026

Compare the same numbered voting day in each midterm election. Percentage differences use 2022 as the baseline: (2026 − 2022) ÷ 2022. Cumulative totals are calculated from daily ballots. Choose any county or statewide totals.

Historical comparability

SCTracker will compare numbered early-voting days across elections only where an official historical daily series can be verified. The currently available historical summary provides final totals, not a complete daily general-election curve for every election year. We will not fill gaps with estimates.

  • County totals must add up to the statewide total.
  • All rows must agree on voting date and include a report date.

Update schedule

The collector is scheduled to check the official page daily. The time shown is the last collector check, not a guarantee SCVotes has published a new report.
